Greetings from Innova Children’s Heart Hospital

It is truly an exciting experience to be a part of south Asia’s first exclusive children’s heart hospital. It has been an exhilarating year that is in keeping with our goal of providing the best care for children with heart diseases. Since its inauguration, we have been doing 4-6 pediatric cardiac operations and cardiological interventions per day and till date we were able to perform more than 1000 heart procedures with results comparable to the best elsewhere in the world. The youngest child who was operated in our hospital was a one day old new born and the smallest child operated was 800 gms premature baby.

We have performed surgeries for complex congenital heart diseases which include Arterial switch operations, single stage focalization, repair of complete AVSD defect and Truncus Arteriosus, and single stage correction of Intracardiac anomalies with arch obstruction apart from other routine procedures.
In interventional cardiology we have performed  device closure of heart defects with left to right shunts, stenting of coarctation of aorta, percutaneous ballon valvotomies for aortic and pulmonary stenosis, and PDA stenting in neonates. But never be contented and rest on our laurels, we continue to build on these achievements.

As part of our social commitment, we have performed more than 5000 operations for children form lower socio economic background. We have conducted CME programs and also free cardiac camps for children in various parts of the country. We have conducted an International Conference “Innova Stanford Conclave 2008” in association with Standford University, USA, on the occasion of our first anniversary.

Innova Hospital was born from a small idea crawled its infancy and is presently taking a few steps as a toddler. Our one year endeavor has been very gratifying and yet we have a long way to go. This progress is only possible through ongoing support from our referral Doctors and our committed staff. By planning ahead and establishing a strong children’s foundation, we would like to create an enduring legacy of compassion for the children of our community. We, at Innova children’s heart hospital will strive to change the quality of life for kids with heart disease and bring smiles to their families. Our team is committed to that “We do the very best we know how to --- the very best we can do; and we mean to keep doing so until the very end”.
